I was a bottomless pit supervisor, that's right
Ensuring the pit had no end in sight.
But one fateful day, to my dismay,
The bottomless pit had lost its way.

Oh, the bottomless pit, it wasn't so deep,
Just a regular hole, not one to keep.
I asked my boss, "What should I do?"
"Just make it bottomless again," he threw.
I scratched my head, feeling oh so sore,
"How do I make a pit infinite once more?"
But my boss just shrugged, left me alone,
"You're the supervisor, figure it on your own."

No endless abyss, a normal pit to ignore.
I threw in my badge, bid my job adieu,
Said, "I'll go and find a job that's new."
I packed my bags, bid my old pit goodbye,
With a heavy heart and a weary sigh.
So I switched my gig, started over anew,
became a regular pit supervisor, it's true.

First day on the job, feeling pretty swell,
Went to inspect the pit, all was going well.
But as I peered down, oh what did I find?
A bottomless pit, fucking blew my mind!
